How It Works
Below is a detailed outline of the service process so that you can have as much information as possible prior to booking your machine in.
- Set an appointment - Airiam uses an appointment process in order to book your machine in for diagnostics or inspection. This appointment is designed to be as painless as possible and will involve checking the machines condition (and taking some pictures), signing the service documentation and paying the diagnostic fee. Your appointment will either be at our drop off location in Weston Village, Bath or in the case of a collection direct from the location of your choice.
- Diagnostics costs £35 and allows us to examine the machine and work out what needs to be done in order to sort it out.
- If your machine is in for an upgrade we will instead charge a £35 inspection fee, to make sure that the process of your upgrade will be viable prior to performing the procedure.
- We work on a queue basis whereby the first machine booked in is looked at first. If you wish to jump your machine to the head of the queue for it's diagnostics/inspection then you can choose Fast Track which costs £70
- All machines are subject to these intial fees, which are non-refundable, and all work will be conducted at our Workshop location. No diagnostics or inspections will happen at your appointment, they are for processing the repair and booking it in.
- After we have performed the diagnostics/inspection we will draw up a formal quote and send it to you via email. You then have the choice of accepting or declining the quote as you see fit. We require you to reply to the email with your decision so that we have confirmation for our records.
- Charges are broken down into a few main areas - Parts are charged as they are needed, Software Tiers 1 & 2 (£40 and £60 respectively) depending on the level of work required and Hardware Tiers 1 & 2 (£40 and £60 respectively) depending on the level of work required. Your quote and subsequent bill will have a combination of some of these charges depending on what needs to be done to complete the service required.
- Once the repair or upgrade is complete we will contact you to arrange a collection appointment. The remainder of your bill is to be paid ahead of collection unless otherwise specified.
- We can responsibly dispose of a machine for you and make sure that the internal storage is securely wiped. A £35 fee is charged for this service.
